Dr. Clavijo's Biography
DR. CLAVIJO: BOARD-CERTIFIED PHYSICIAN SPECIALIZING IN PULMONARY MEDICINE, SLEEP MEDICINE, INTERNAL MEDICINE AND CRITICAL CARE.
Jaime Clavijo, M.D., is a board-certified physician who provides the highest quality of care by utilizing modern medical advances for the treatment of his patients.
A native of Bogota, Colombia, Dr. Clavijo received his medical degree from the "Universidad de Monterrey" in Monterrey, Mexico.
Specializing in Pulmonary Medicine, Sleep Medicine, Internal Medicine and Critical Care, he focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), Asthma, Allergies, Sleep disorders, Hypertension, Diabetes and other related conditions.
He trained in Internal Medicine at the University of Florida in Jacksonville, and later served his fellowship in Pulmonary and Critiical Care at Wayne State University in Detroit, MI. Dr Clavijo has been certified in Pulmonary Disease Medicine since 2000 by The American Board of Internal Medicine, and was also certified by the board to practice Critical Care Medicine.
A member of the American College of Physicians, the American College of Chest Physicians and the American Academy of Allergy, Asthma, and Immunology, Dr. Clavijo has received many honors and awards including a Certificate of Merit for Outstanding Scientific Presentation.
